Cancellation & Refunds
You can cancel your TalkWriter subscription at any time. Here is how cancellation works and what our refund policy covers.
How to Cancel
- Open TalkWriter and go to Settings > Subscription
- Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe customer portal
- Click Cancel Plan
- Confirm the cancellation
What Happens After Cancellation

| Immediately | Cancellation is confirmed. No further charges. |
| Until period ends | You keep full Pro access until your current billing period expires. |
| After period ends | Account moves to the Free plan (2,000 words/week). |
| Your data | Nothing is lost. Dictionary, snippets, history, and preferences are preserved. |
Cancellation does not take effect immediately. You continue to have Pro access for the time you already paid for.
7-Day Refund Policy
TalkWriter offers a refund within the first 7 days of a charge.

How to Request a Refund
- Cancel your subscription first (steps above)
- Email support@talkwriter.ai within 7 days of the charge
- Include your account email and the charge date
- The team processes the refund within 5-10 business days
Cancel first, then request the refund. This stops future charges while your refund is being processed.
Re-subscribing After Cancellation
Changed your mind? You can re-subscribe at any time:
- Go to Settings > Subscription
- Click Upgrade to Pro
- Complete checkout
Pro features activate immediately after payment.
FAQ
Will I lose my data if I cancel? No. Your dictionary, snippets, session history, and account are preserved. You just lose access to Pro-only features.
Can I cancel and re-subscribe to get a fresh annual cycle? Your new subscription starts on the day you re-subscribe with a new billing cycle.
What if I cancel during my free trial? Your trial ends and you move to the Free plan immediately. No charge is made.
