Who Should Upgrade to Pro?
You exceed 2,000 words per week
If you dictate daily, you will hit the free limit fast. A 5-minute dictation session can produce 500-750 words. At that rate, four sessions per week exhausts the free plan. Pro removes the limit entirely.
You want TalkTone
This is the biggest difference between Free and Pro. Without TalkTone, you get clean text. With TalkTone, you get text that is styled for your exact use case -- Email mode adds greetings and sign-offs, Code mode produces JSDoc comments, Social mode optimizes for Twitter character limits. TalkTone turns dictation from "fast typing" into "fast writing."
You need Banglish
If you communicate in Bengali, Hindi, Arabic, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, or Malayalam using romanized text, Banglish mode is the only dictation tool that understands what you actually want: your language in Latin letters.

The unlimited word count means you never have to think about your usage. Dictate all day, every day, without checking a counter.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when I hit the free word limit? Dictation pauses until your weekly counter resets (every Monday). You can still use TalkWriter to view your Scratchpad, edit snippets and dictionary, and adjust settings.
Can I try Pro before paying? Yes. Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
Is there an annual plan? Yes. The annual plan is $7.99/month (billed as $95.88/year), saving you 20% compared to monthly billing.
Can I downgrade from Pro to Free? Yes. Cancel your subscription from Settings > Subscription. You keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period, then revert to Free.
Do I lose my data if I downgrade? No. Your dictionary, snippets, session history, and Scratchpad content are preserved. You simply lose access to Pro-only features like TalkTone and Banglish, and the 2,000 words/week limit re-applies.
