Invoices & Receipts
TalkWriter provides invoices and receipts for every payment through Stripe. Here is how to access and download them.
Finding Your Invoices
All invoices are available in the Stripe customer portal:
- Open TalkWriter and go to Settings > Subscription
- Click Manage Billing
- In the Stripe portal, click Billing History
- You see a list of all past invoices
Downloading an Invoice
To download an invoice as a PDF:
- Open the Stripe customer portal (steps above)
- Go to Billing History
- Click the invoice you want
- Click Download Invoice or Download PDF
Each invoice includes:

| Invoice number | Unique identifier for the charge |
| Date | When the payment was processed |
| Plan name | Pro Monthly, Pro Annual, etc. |
| Billing period | Start and end dates covered |
| Amount charged | Total including any applicable tax |
| Payment method | Card type and last 4 digits |
Email Receipts
Stripe automatically sends an email receipt after every successful payment. Receipts go to the email address on your TalkWriter account.
Check your spam folder. If receipts are still missing, verify your email in Settings > Account.
Adding Tax Information
If you need business details on your invoices (VAT number, company name, etc.):
- Open the Stripe customer portal
- Go to Billing Information
- Add your business name, address, and tax ID
- Future invoices automatically include this information
Tax handling varies by region. Stripe may collect applicable sales tax or VAT based on your location. The tax amount is shown on your invoice before you confirm payment.
FAQ
Can I get invoices for past payments? Yes. All invoices are available in the Stripe portal's Billing History, going back to your first payment.
Can I change the email that receives receipts? Yes. Update your email in Settings > Account. Future receipts go to the new address.
Are invoices available in formats other than PDF? Stripe provides PDF invoices. For other formats, you can copy the invoice details manually.
