Managing Your Subscription

You can view and manage your TalkWriter subscription directly from the app or through the Stripe customer portal.

Viewing Your Current Plan​

  1. Open TalkWriter
  2. Go to Settings > Subscription
  3. You see:
    • Your current plan (Free, Pro, or Enterprise)
    • Billing cycle (monthly or annual)
    • Next billing date
    • Payment method on file

Using the Stripe Customer Portal​

For detailed billing management, TalkWriter connects you to the Stripe portal where you can:

Accessing the Portal​

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. The Stripe portal opens in your browser

You are authenticated automatically — no separate Stripe login is needed.

Changing Your Billing Cycle​

To switch between monthly and annual:

  1. Open the Stripe customer portal (steps above)
  2. Click Update Plan
  3. Select your new billing cycle
  4. Confirm the change

Monthly to annual: Takes effect at your next billing date. You are charged the annual rate ($95.88).

Annual to monthly: Takes effect when your current annual period ends. You keep access for the rest of your paid year.

Viewing Your Next Billing Date​

Your next billing date is shown in:

  • Settings > Subscription in the app
  • Stripe customer portal under billing details

FAQ​

Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling? Pausing is not currently available. You can cancel and re-subscribe later without losing any data.

How do I update my email address for billing? Go to Settings > Account to update your email. This also updates the email used for billing receipts.

Can I have separate billing for different team members? On Pro, each user manages their own subscription. On Enterprise, billing is centralized under a single admin account.
