Payment Methods

TalkWriter uses Stripe for secure payment processing. Here is what you need to know about accepted methods and managing your payment details.

Available payment methods may vary by region. Stripe supports payments in 195+ countries.

Updating Your Card

To update your payment method:

  1. Open TalkWriter and go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe customer portal
  3. Under Payment Method, click Update
  4. Enter your new card details
  5. Click Save

Your new card is used for all future charges.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), here is the timeline:

What to Do If Payment Fails

  1. Open Settings > Subscription > Manage Billing
  2. Update your payment method
  3. Stripe will attempt the charge again

To avoid interruptions, keep your payment method current. Update your card before it expires.

If Your Account Moves to Free

If payment fails after all retry attempts:

  • Your account moves to the Free plan
  • You lose access to Pro features (TalkTone, Banglish, unlimited dictation)
  • No data is lost — update your card and re-subscribe to restore Pro immediately

FAQ

Does TalkWriter store my credit card number? No. All payment details are stored securely by Stripe. TalkWriter never has access to your full card number.

Can I use a debit card? Yes, if it is a Visa, Mastercard, or other accepted network.

Can I pay by bank transfer or invoice? Bank transfer and invoice payments are available for Enterprise plans. Contact sales for details.
