Quick Messaging Workflow
- Cliquez sur le/la message input box in Slack or Discord
- Hold Fn and say your message
- Release Fn — your message appears in the input box
- Review the text before pressing Enter to send

TalkTone for Messaging
TalkTone polishes your dictated speech into the right style. Voici comment different styles work in a messaging context:

Slack Tips
- Channels — Cliquez sur le/la message box in any channel, then dictate
- Threads — Click "Reply in thread," then dictate your response
- DMs — Same as channels, click the input box and dictate
- Editing — After dictating, use arrow keys to navigate and edit before sending
- Emoji reactions — Dictate "thumbs up" and it will type the text (not the emoji). Add reactions manually.
Discord Tips
- Text channels — Cliquez sur le/la message box and dictate
- Server threads — Cliquez sur le/la thread reply box, then dictate
- DMs — Works the same as text channels
- Voice channels — TalkWriter can run while you are in a Discord voice call, but be aware it will pick up your voice for both Discord and dictation
Known Limitations

FAQ
Can TalkWriter send messages automatically? Nonn. TalkWriter only pastes text into the input box. You must press Enter to send. C'est voulu, so vous pouvez always review before sending.
Does it work with Slack's web and desktop apps? Oui. Both the Slack desktop app and Slack in the browser work with TalkWriter.
Can I dictate in multiple languages in Slack? Oui. Set your TalkWriter language in Settings. Vous pouvez dictate in any supported language and it will paste into Slack.
